About

“I practice a unique blend of clinical and organisational psychology. My therapy sessions are conversational, personal, playful, and guiding. Therapy is about a client and a psychologist starting from an idea: That things could be better. Maybe by a lot, maybe just by a little; either way, something worth working for. Something that justifies facing challenges, shaking things up, taking some risks. As a therapist I don't pretend to know all the answers; my skill is in asking the right questions.

I draw from broad knowledge: Cognitive science, philosophy, linguistics, physics, computer science, evolutionary biology, history, music, poetry, and comedy. I'm constantly researching and learning about human experience. I have particular interest in first-hand accounts of people from different cultures, and different times in history. My duty with clients is to help open new ways of seeing life, increasing options, narrowing down on a sense of beauty and purpose. I love that this can be fun, thoughtful, and challenging in the best way possible.

Personality psychology is my most developed area of practice. What is personality? How innate is it? What can I do if my personality isn't fitting well, with people in my life, and things that I have to do? Everyone is affected by their personality-environment fit; these are just some of the questions I help clients to explore. Incorporating current neuroscience on affect and emotion, and philosophies of meaning and influence. The goal: To become a master of your destiny; rather than a slave to external forces that you didn't choose. If you can master an understanding of your personality, and understand where and with whom you can best flourish, the feelings that result are: Freedom, playful creativity, focusing purpose, and a loving enthusiasm for life."
